Layers of Her

This 30” x 23” original mixed-media artwork combines layers of texture, color, and found materials to create a piece that feels both feminine and raw.

The figure is built into a richly layered background using oil paint, gloss gel, lace, book pages, and sheet music, allowing bits and pieces of the materials underneath to peek through the painting. The warm golden background contrasts with the figure and soft blue shorts, while the collage elements add details that reveal themselves the longer you look.

The piece has been professionally framed and matted in a substantial decorative frame, making it completely ready to hang and giving the experimental mixed-media artwork a beautifully finished presentation.
